CAUTION!
■
Remove the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
■
After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely
before you empty the water reservoir and / or clean the device and store it away.
■
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
■
Never touch the device, the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands.
■
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.
These can damage the surface.
•
Empty the water reservoir (see the "Use" chapter, "After Use" section).
•
If necessary, wipe off the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry
it with a soft cloth.
Self-Cleaning Function
If you do not use distilled water, perform the working steps which are described below
regularly (at least every 10 operating hours):
1. Move the steam quantity control to 0, move the temperature control to MIN and pull
the mains plug out of the plug socket.
2. Fill the water reservoir around half full with water (see the "Use" chapter, "Filling the
Water Reservoir" section). Ideally you should only ever use distilled water for self-
cleaning.
3. Place the device upright on a stable, fl at and heat-resistant surface.
4. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed, easily accessible mains socket and
move the temperature control to position MAX.
5. Wait until the device has heated up and the temperature control lamp goes out.
6. Move the temperature control to position MIN.
7. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
8. Hold the device horizontally over a sink or similar outlet.
9. Press the Self Clean button (12).
10. Allow the water reservoir to run completely empty. Tilt the device back and forth
slightly to allow the water to run out of all nozzles.
11. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process several times until no more limescale
residues emerge from the nozzles.
12. After the device has cooled down completely, pull the steam quantity control unit
out and turn the device upside down in order to remove any remaining amounts of
limescale or water.
Separate descaling of the device is not necessary.
