Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you can rectify a
problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department. Do
not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work. The display
and operating lamps
do not light up.
No steam is pro-
duced.
Water emerges from
the bottom of the
iron.

Possible cause/solution
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try a different socket and
check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Is the water reservoir empty? Refi ll it.
• The device has not yet reached operating temperature.

• Is the temperature control on a low temperature setting?
Select a higher temperature setting.
• Are you pressing the Eco button during ironing? If the Eco
button is not pressed, no steam is produced.
• Press the

• Have you not moved the device for some time? The au-
tomatic safety switch-off function was activated. Move the
device so that it switches on again and heats up.
• If you have set a high temperature, the steam which is gen-
erated is dry and almost invisible. This is exacerbated by a
high ambient temperature. Switch the temperature control
to a lower temperature to check whether the device is pro-
ducing steam.
• Is the water reservoir overfi lled? Pour away some water
(see the "After Use" section).
• Is the temperature control on a low temperature setting?
Select a higher temperature setting so that steam can be
generated.
You might notice a slight odour caused by production residues
the fi rst time you use the device. However, this is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the iron seated correctly in the storage station? The res-
ervoir socket in the base must be located in the valve of the
storage station.
