Automatic Steam Feature

To benefi t the environment, the device has an energy-saving mode which switches off the
steam function when the device has not been moved for around 3 seconds (provided the steam
function has been switched on previously by pressing a steam button).
• If the device has not been moved for around 3 seconds, the steam function is automatically
switched off. This ensures lower power consumption and less water consumption.
• The steam function automatically switches on again when the device is moved.

Limescale Filter

The compact iron station has a resin fi lter which captures limescale particles present in the
water and prevents them from getting into the steam chamber and the steam lines. To ensure
that your device can be used for a long time, we also recommend that you use distilled water.

Cleaning and Storage

CAUTION!
❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐ After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely be-
fore you empty the water reservoir and/or clean the device and store it away.
❐ Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning. These could
damage the surface.
❐ If you do not use distilled water to fi ll the device, the device may fur up.
• Empty the water reservoir (see the "Filling/Emptying the Water Reservoir" chapter).
• If necessary, wipe off the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it
with a soft cloth.
• Use a standard commercial descaling agent to descale the device. Follow the manufac-
turer's instructions for descaling.
• Allow the device to dry completely before you wrap the cable around the base. Do not
wrap the cable too tight around the device in order to prevent damage to the cable.
• Store the device in a dry, clean location which is out of the reach of children. When you
do this, place the device upright on its base on a fl at, stable surface.
