MECHANICAL DEVICES
3.5.1 CONTROLLING THE HYDRAULIC
CYLINDERS
All of the machine's hydraulic cylinders are fitted with
mechanical safety valves which prevent a possible
uncontrolled stroke of the piston in the event of failure
of or damage to the hydraulic circuit.
3.5.2 BOOM LOCK DEVICE
Various maintenance operations may require access
to the area beneath the boom; in this case the boom
must be secured against dropping, even accidentally,
from its position.
For this purpose a special metal block is provided with
the machine to be manually fitted to the rod of the lif-
ting cylinder (see paragraph below).
The device is fixed by means of bolts to the rear of the
machine behind the driver's cab (Fig. 43).
After use it is obligatory to put the device
back in its correct position.

DISPOSITIFS MÉCANIQUES
3.5.1 CONTRÔLES DES CYLINDRES
HYDRAULIQUES
Tous les cylindres hydrauliques de la machine sont
équipés de soupapes mécaniques de sécurité qui
empêchent la course incontrôlée du piston dans le cas
de panne ou de dommage au niveau du circuit
hydraulique.
3.5.2 DISPOSITIF DE BLOCAGE DU BRAS
Certaines opérations d'entretien peuvent nécessiter
l'accès à la zone qui se trouve sous le bras; dans ce
cas il est nécessaire de faire en sorte que celui ne
puisse en aucun cas, même accidentellement, se
baisser par rapport à sa position.
Dans ce but la machine est fournie avec un dispositif
de blocage métallique spécial à placer manuellement
sur la tige du cylindre de soulèvement (voir paragraphe
suivant). Le dispositif est fixé avec des boulons sur le
côté arrière de la machine derrière la cabine de
conduite (Fig. 43).
Après l'emploi il est nécessaire de remettre
en place le dispositif.
