• Press the right control knob (3).
• The machine starts the descaling process. The display shows «Descaling activated».
• Descaling proceeds automatically and lasts for about 20 minutes. The descaling
solution flows at intervals through the system.
• Wait until «Empty trays» appears on the display.
• Empty the drip tray (5b) and replace.
• The display shows «Fill water».
• Remove the water tank (10) and rinse well with clear water.
• Now reinsert the filter (if you have already used it previously).
• Fill the water tank with fresh water and put it back into the coffee machine.
• On the display appears «Hose to spout» alternating with «and into drip tray».
• Connect the hose to the spout (4a) and to the drip tray (fig. B).
• Press the right control knob (3).
• On the display appears: «Start rinsing».
TIP:
Place a sufficiently large receptacle (approx. 0.5 l) under the coffee outlet (4).
• Press the right control button (3) to confirm. On the display appears: «System is rinsing».
• The rinsing program proceeds automatically and lasts for about two minutes.
• Wait until «Empty trays» appears on the display.
• Empty the drip trip (5b) and reinsert.
• The machine is ready for operation again.

5.6 Changing the filter

The effectiveness of the filter will be exhausted after drawing approx. 50 litres of
water. «Filter replace» appears on the display.

You can still draw coffee, hot water and steam. We would recommend that
you should always replace the filter immediately, however.
Please note:
If your use of water is lower, the filter must be replaced after two months at the latest.
No message appears in the display.
You can set the replacement date using the special rotary indicator on the top of the filter.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Setting» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Filter Setting» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Filter yes» and press the knob to confirm.
• On the display «Change filter» appears. Press the right control knob (3) to confirm.
• On the display «Replace filter» appears.
• Empty the water tank (10).
• With the assistance of the mounting tool (14) you can remove the filter and screw
in the new one carefully.
• Fill the tank with fresh water and put it back into the coffee machine.
• Place a sufficiently large receptacle under the spout (4) and press the right control
knob (3). The system will now be rinsed and «Filter is rinsed» appears on the display.
• The machine rinses. As soon as the display shows «Setting», the machine is ready
for operation.
