Descaling The System - Rotel AroMatica 762 Mode D'emploi

• Remove the drip tray (5b) and the water tank (10) and clean both.
• Fill the tank with fresh water and put it and the tray back into the machine.
• The machine rinses briefly twice. On the display then appears «Cleaning tablet
into» alternating with «Powder chute».
• Open the pre-ground coffee chamber (12), put the cleaning tablet in and close the
lid. Display: «Start cleaning».
TIP:
Place a sufficiently large receptacle (approx. 0.5 l) under the coffee outlet (4).
• Press the right control knob (3).
• The machine starts the cleaning process. The display shows «System is cleaning».
• Rinsing proceeds automatically and lasts for about 10 minutes. Display: «Empty
trays».
• Empty the drip tray (5b) and replace.
• Fill the water tank (10) if necessary with fresh water.
• The machine heats up briefly and is then again ready for operation.

5.5 Descaling the system

If the appliance needs to be descaled, the «Please descale» message will appear on
the display.

You can continue to brew coffee or draw hot water and steam. We would, how-
ever, recommend that you run the descaling program as soon as possible.

The program can also be carried out without the message appearing.
Please note:
– The filter must always be removed from the water tank before starting the program.
– Please comply exactly with the sequence described here during the process!
– You may not interrupt the descaling program!
– Never use vinegar or liquids based on vinegar to descale your coffee machine;
only use «Calc Clean» or a similar product.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Setting» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Care» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Care descale» and press the knob to confirm.
• On the display appears «Empty trays».
• Empty the drip tray (5b) and reinsert. On the display appears «Remove tank».
• Remove the water tank (10).
• Fill water and the appropriate quantity of descaler into the tank ONLY up to the 0.5 l
mark (observe manufacturer's instructions) and replace the tank
• On the display appears «Hose to spout» alternating with «and into drip tray».
• Connect the hose to the spout (4a) and to the drip tray (fig. B).
• Press the right control knob (3). On the display appears «Descaling started».
TIP:
Place a sufficiently large receptacle (approx. 0.5 l) under the coffee outlet (4).
