5.3 Cleaning the frother

You should rinse the frother (fig. D) from time to time with the help of a suitable deter-
gent. You can use «Milk Clean» for this, which is available from us, or a similar product.
Please note:
The running cleaning programme may not be interrupted!
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Setting» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Care» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Care cleaning» and press the knob to confirm.
• Turn the right control knob (3) to «Clean frother» and press the knob to confirm.
• On the display appears «Hose to spout» alternating with «and into cleaner».
• Connect the hose to the spout (4a).
• Add some water and cleaner in a container at least 0.3 l (for mixing proportions,
see manufacturer's details) and dip the other end of the hose in the liquid.
• Press the right control knob (3) to confirm.
TIP:
Place a sufficiently large receptacle (approx. 0.5 l) under the outlet (4).
• On the display «Cleaning activated» appears.
• Rinsing proceeds automatically and lasts for about 20 seconds.
• On the display appears «Hose to spout» alternating with «and into drip tray».
• Connect the hose to the drip tray (fig. B).
• Press the right control knob (3) to confirm.
• On the display «Cleaning activated» appears.
• Again rinsing proceeds automatically for about 20 seconds.
• As soon as cleaning has finished the display shows «Empty trays».
• Empty the drip tray (5b) and the used coffee tray (5c).
• The machine heats up and is then again ready for operation.

5.4 Cleaning the system

When the appliance needs to be cleaned, «Please clean» appears on the display.
In order to carry this out, you will need the cleaning tablets enclosed in your Wel-
come-Pack and which you can order from us.

You can still draw coffee, hot water and steam. We would recommend that
the cleaning program should be carried out as soon as possible, however.

The program can also be carried without the message appearing.
Please note:
The running cleaning program must not be interrupted.
Only add the cleaning tablets when indicated in the display.
