The upper line of the display shows you in the main menu the selection of drinks
in clear text:
- Espresso, Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Milk, My coffee, Water,
and Settings.
•
In the lower line the current settings of the drinks selection is displayed:
- Quantity of liquid in ml.
- Aroma strength (bean symbol).

3.2 Preparing Coffee and Espresso

Turn the right control knob (3) to the desired beverage:
In the lower line you see the standard settings for the water quantity (ml) and the
aroma strength (number of beans), with the following key:
1 bean * = Very mild less than approx. 7 g coffee powder (e.g. very mild Latte Macchiato)
2 beans = Mild approx. 7 g coffee powder (e.g. Café au lait, Cappuccino)
3 beans = Normal approx. 9 g coffee powder (e.g. Café crème)
4 beans = Strong approx. 11 g coffee powder (e.g. Espresso, strong coffee)
5 beans * = Very strong more than 11 g coffee powder (e.g. very strong Espresso)

If the standard settings correspond to your requirements:
•
Place a cup under the outlet (4).
•
Press the right control knob (3) once.
•
The appliance prepares the desired cup of coffee.

You can prepare two cups directly. Briefly press the right control knob (3) twice
and place two cups under the outlet (4). Two milling operations will be carried
out, one after the other.

If it should happen that the water or the coffee beans run out precisely
between the two milling operations, or if the drip trays need to be emptied,
this will be displayed and the second cup of coffee will not be prepared. Fol-
low the instruction for the display and then press the right control knob (3) for
the second coffee.

The process can be cancelled at any time by pressing the right control knob (3).
If you want to change the standard settings:
•
Turn the left control knob (2) until the desired quantity of water is indicated, e.g.:
- Espresso 20 ml to 70 ml
- Café crème 80 ml to 130 ml
•
Press the left control knob (2) until the desired number of beans is indicated.
•
Press the right control knob (3) once.
•
The appliance prepares the desired cup of coffee.
