BEFORE STARTING THE APPLIANCE
o
Before first use and if the machine has not been used in a while, run through 2-3
brewing cycles using the maximum water volume and no coffee powder, then rinse
the filter and glass jug with hot water.
PREPARING COFFEE
o
Open the lid and fill cold water in the fresh water tank (at the rear). The display
tube indicates the number of cups to be brewed.
o
Use the enclosed permanent filter or place a filter bag size 1x4, which you have
folded along the seam, into the filter. The filter bag must not stick out of the
machine.
o
Now add the required amount of coffee powder. Depending on your taste, the
general recommendation is approx. 5 to 7 grams of medium-course ground coffee
per cup. Close the lid.
o
Plug the machine into an earthed safety socket and switch it on. The indicator lamp
will come on and the brewing cycle will start. The drip stop prevents any coffee
from dripping on the warming plate when the glass jug is not in the machine.
o
After the brewing process is completed, you can remove the glass jug without any
residual coffee dripping from the filter.
o
The warming plate automatically keeps the coffee at serving temperature until you
switch the machine off. The appliance must cool down for 5 minutes before fresh
coffee can be brewed.
o
After use, unplug the appliance.
CLEANING
o
Pull out the plug and let the appliance cool down.
o
Do not immerse the coffee machine in water. Wipe it with a damp cloth and some
washing-up liquid and dry it with a cloth.
o
The filter funnel and the glass jug can be cleaned with water.
o
Do not use any sharp and abrasive cleaning agents.
DESCALING
o
Like all hot water appliances, the machine must be descaled in regular intervals. The
following intervals are recommended:
low water hardness: 2 times a year, medium water hardness: 4 times a year,
high water hardness: every month.
