Reverse until the fifth wheel plate (8) is under the front part of the semi-trailer,

stopping at approx. 20-30 cm. from the semi-trailer articulation kingpin;

Perform coupling by reversing towards semi-trailer articulation kingpin in a
decisive but not aggressive manner: the collision of the articulation kingpin
against the lock jaw causes the wedge to close and the safety device on the
opening lever to become engaged.
ATTENTION: always personally make sure that the semi-trailer
counter-plate rests completely on the surface of the fifth wheel.
