COMMISSIONING
1)
When assembly has been completed, it is essential to grease the fifth wheel
plate (8), the closing mechanism (7, 11b, 2c) and the semi-trailer articulation
kingpin;
2)
The use of greases resistant to high pressures (high EP feature), water and high
temperatures is recommended;
3)
Lubricate the locking jaw (7)
4)
Check that the semi-trailer counter-plate is sufficiently lubricated (for standard
fifth wheel
only);;

These operations are essential for the good working order of the fifth

wheel and long duration of use.

5)
Position the opening handle (21a) as indicated in the box and tighten the
three bolts (21b, 21c) to the torque of 30 Nm.
