Check that the semi-trailer wheels are blocked;
3)
Position the tractor in front of the semi-trailer in a way that the longitudunal
axis of the fifth wheel coincides with that of the semi-trailer.
The front edge of the semi-trailer counter-plate must touch the fifth wheel plate
(8) 15-25 cm. before the coupling point.
If this condition is not respected, check the height of the semi-trailer by
operating:
A)
on the pneumatic suspensions for tractors with said suspensions.
B) on the support carriage for tractors with mechanical suspensions until
the conditions described above are reached.
