9.4. CLAMPING THE WHEEL
- Move manually the mounting head arm at
side, in not-working position (Fig. 17).
-Place the wheel on the sliding clamp table
with the narrow side of the wheel's drop cen-
tre facing upward (tires must be removed
and re-itted only from the narrow side).
- depress pedal
clamps to the outside of the table (Fig.18)
if you wish to clamp the rim on the outside
as shown in Figure 18 (recommended for
alloy rims).
If necessary, set the diameter range using the
adjustment device located below the turntable,
(1-2-3 ig. 18a) by proceeding as follows:
- Press pedal and bring it into completely
lifted coniguration.
In this coniguration, the jaws are completely
open.
- With the machine completely stopped, remove
the locking pin using the knob, making sure
not to press any control.
- Turn the adjustment device using the knob
until securing it into the new position.
- Check that the locking pin is irmly secured
in its housing.
- alternatively, keep pedal
of the table (Fig.19) if you wish to clamp the rim on the inside (Fig.19).
