1. Hang the inflow end of the tube with the tap spikes for the fluid bags into a
container filled with water.
2. Fill the tube end completely with water by running the pump with the Prime
button. Let the pump run until the calibration is complete. Press the Pause/
Resume button to stop the roller wheel. The intrauterine actual pressure dis-
play depicts 0 mmHg.
3. Seal the end of the hysteroscope tube (with finger on the tip of the luer con-
nector).
4. Hold the water level at the end of the hysteroscope tube (h) 30 cm above the
pressure chamber. The water column exerts a hydrostatic pressure on the
pressure transducer.
5. Remove your finger from the end of the hysteroscope tube.
6. The intrauterine actual pressure display should depict 20 mmHg (±5 mmHg).
7. Change the water column height by changing the height of the water filled
end of the tube set. The value depicted on the intrauterine actual pressure
display should change accordingly.
Enter the results into the test log in section 16.1. The test is successfully complet-
ed when the results are within the permissible tolerance limit.
9.2.4
Fluid Deficit Measurement Test
The test setup is depicted in Fig. 9-3. It is critical that the collection container is
positioned on the scale as shown in Fig. 9-3.
1. Carry out the scale test, chapter 9.2.1
2. Set the fluid deficit display to zero by pressing the Zero button (see Fig. 5-1,
(9)).
3. Press the Pause/Resume button.
4. Allow system to run for 1 minute.
5. Press the Pause/Resume button.
6. The displayed fluid deficit should be 0 ml. The permissible tolerance is ±50 ml.
