4. Empty the water reservoir: To do this, pull the water reservoir cap (5) out of the water
reservoir, hold the device over a sink or similar outlet and turn it upside down. Allow
all of the water to run out of the water reservoir (4).
5. Operate the device again for a short time and press the steam release button (2) in
order to allow any remaining amounts of water to evaporate.
6. If necessary, brush fl uff and other contamination off the attachments. The attach-
ments can also be rinsed with water. Then dry them thoroughly.
7. If necessary, wipe down the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and
then dry it with a soft cloth.
8. Store the device in a clean, dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not acces-
sible to children and animals.
Descaling
Descale the device regularly if distilled water is not being used to fi ll the water
reservoir.
Use a standard commercial descaling agent to descale the device. Make sure that the
descaling agent is suitable for steam devices. Note the instructions for use of the desca-
ling agent for details about the mixing ratio of water and descaling agent and about the
length of use.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!

Possible cause / solution
• Is the mains plug inserted in the plug socket correctly? Cor-
rect the fi t of the mains plug.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• The temperature has fallen below the operating temperature.
Wait until the control lamp (1) goes out before pressing the
steam release button (2).
• Is the water reservoir (4) empty? Top it up.
• The device has not yet reached operating temperature. Wait
until the control lamp (1) goes out.
