Possible Cause / Solution

Is the plug socket defective? Try a different socket and
check the fuse of your mains connection.
Is the water reservoir empty? Refi ll it (see the "Use"
chapter, "Filling the Water Reservoir" section).
The device has not yet reached operating temperature.
Wait until the temperature control lamp lights up
constantly.
Is the temperature control on a low temperature setting?
Select a higher temperature setting.
Is the device upright? Press the

If you have set a high temperature, the steam which is

is producing steam.
Have you not moved the device for some time? The
automatic safety switch-off function was activated. Take
hold of the handle so that the device switches back on and
heats up again.
Is the water reservoir overfi lled? Pour away some water
(see the "Use" chapter, "After Use" section).
Is the temperature control on a low temperature setting?
Select a higher temperature setting so that steam can be
generated.
You might notice a small amount of smoke the fi rst time
you use the device. However, this is harmless and will
cease as you use the device.
Is the water reservoir empty? Refi ll it (see the "Use" chap-
