3. Operation
After switching on the endoscope camera, the camera image is shown in the
display (12) in real time.

Do not kink or excessively bend the camera cable.
3.1. Zoom and colour/grey scale mode
The camera image can be zoomed by pressing the button (9) briefl y or displayed
in grey scales by pressing for longer. Zooming only affects the on-screen display
and is not saved.
3.2. Set display and camera brightness
The brightness of the display and the camera can be set with the buttons (6)
and (8). Four stages are available respectively.
3.3. Record/save photo
A photo can be recorded with the button (7) and saved on the MicroSD card
as shown in the display (12). Zooming only affects the on-screen display and
is not saved.
3.4. Record/save video
A video recording can be started by pressing the button (7) for longer. Stop the
video recording by pressing the button (7) again. The video is saved on the
MicroSD card as shown on the display (12). Zooming only affects the on-screen
display and is not saved.
3.5. Play photo/video
Saved photos and videos can be displayed by pressing the button (5). Scroll
through photos and videos with the buttons (7) and (8). Press the button (6) to
play a selected video.
During video playback:
● Pause: Press the button (6). Press again to continue playing.
● Fast forward: Press the button (7) to switch between speeds 2x, 4x, 8x.
● Rewind: Press the button (8) to switch between speeds 2x, 4x, 8x.
● Back to start: Press the button (5) briefl y to jump back to the start of the
video.
● Delete: Press and hold the button (5) to delete the video.
Press the button (5) to exit the photo/video display.
3.6. Delete photo/video
Select the photo/video to be deleted as described in 3.5 and press the button
(5) for about 1 s. Select "Confi rm" in the security prompt with the buttons (7)
and (8) and confi rm with the the button (6).
5. Faults
5.1. Fault: No photo in the display (12)
Cause:
● Camera cable set Color HD (2) not fi tted correctly
● Camera cable set Color for REMS CamScope fi tted
● Battery empty
● Electrical device defective
5.2. Fault: Display (12) does not change although the camera is moved or a button pressed.
Cause:
● Display (12) does not move.
5.3. Fault: It is not possible to record photos/videos.
Cause:
● MicroSD card < 32 GB
● MicroSD card defective
● MicroSD card missing
3.7. Rotating/Mirroring
The photo on the display (12) in real time can be rotated/mirrored by pressing
the button (6) for longer. After switching on the REMS CamScope HD, the photo
is not shown rotated and mirrored in the display (12). By pressing the button
(6) repeatedly for longer, the photo is:
● rotated by 180° and mirrored
● not rotated but mirrored
● rotated by 180° but not mirrored
● not rotated and not mirrored
3.8. Switching colour cameras, camera cable set Color 8-1 HD 180°/ 90° (Fig.
1)
After switching on the REMS CamScope HD, the 180° straight colour camera
is active. Repeated, prolonged pressing of the button (8) switches between the
colour cameras, to the:
● 90° angled colour camera
● 180° straight and 90° angled colour camera
● 180° straight colour camera
the photos of which are displayed in real time on the display (12). If both colour
cameras are active simultaneously, both photos of the colour cameras are
shown next to each other in real time on the display.
4. Maintenance
4.1. Maintenance
Clean the electrical device regularly especially when it has not been in use for
a long time.
Clean plastic parts (e.g. housing) only with REMS CleanM machine cleaner
(Art. No. 140119) or a mild soap and a damp cloth. Do not use household
cleaners. These often contain chemicals which can damage the plastic parts.
Never use petrol, turpentine, thinner or similar products for cleaning. Only clean
the display (12) with a suitable, soft, dry cloth. Make sure that no dirt gets into
the cable plug/socket (3) of the camera cable set Color (2) or the REMS
CamScope HD or into the USB connection/charger socket (10), the reset (13)
and MicroSD card slot (11).
4.2. Inspection/repair
Service and repair work are not possible in the REMS CamScope HD.
Remedy:
● Fit the camera cable set Color HD as described in 2.1.
● Fit camera cable set Color HD.
● Charge the battery via the PC or with the charger, see the appropriate oper-
ating instructions.
● Have the electrical device inspected by an authorised REMS contract customer
service workshop.
Remedy:
● Press the Reset button (13) carefully, for example, with a straightened paper
clip.
Remedy:
● Insert MicroSD card ≥ 32 GB, see 2.2.1.
● Change MicroSD card, see 2.2.1.
● Insert MicroSD card, see 2.2.1.
