1- Prepare the following tools:
N. 1 - Hex spanner 13
N. 1 - Electric drill
N. 1 - Concrete drill bit diam. 13 long
N. 4 - Metal expansion screw anchors 13x50
N. 4 - M 8 x 50 anchor screws.
2- Drill four holes in the floor corresponding to the holes pre-drilled in the base. Holes should be 80 mm deep. Use the long, 13 mm concrete
drill bit.
3- Insert the expansion plugs and tighten with the 13 mm spanner.
6.5 INSTALLING THE STROKE LIMITER (OPTIONAL)
The optional stroke limiter is required for bead breaking on RUN FLAT, LOW PROFILE
and UHP tyres.
The STROKE LIMITER kit (Fig. K/3) comprises:
1)
Bead breaking limiter
2) Adjuster pin
3) Bead breaking arm mounting pin
4)
Shim
5) Fixing screws
6)
Grease pot holder spacer bracket
7) Plastic strip
If the kit has not already been preinstalled on the tyre changer, to install it correctly
proceed as follows:
1) Remove the grease cup support ring (1, Fig. K/4) from the side of the tyre changer.
2) Use a CH 10 spanner to undo the screws which secure the pin (2, Fig. K/4), then
extract the pin.
3) With the aid of the plastic strip supplied with the kit, release the spring from its seat
on the bead breaker arm (see Fig. K/5).

Remove the mounting pin and extract the bead breaker arm from the support, taking
care to recover the shim fitted between the support and the arm.
5) Fit the limiter on the bead breaker arm (see Fig. K/6).
6) Fit the bead breaker arm into the slots on the support.
N.B.: Take care to fit the two shims correctly; they must be mounted as shown in Fig.
K/7:
- between the support and the bead breaker arm
- between the bead breaker arm and the stroke limiter
7)
Align the holes in the various parts to allow insertion of the NEW
in the kit (see Fig. K/8).
8) Secure the fixing pin with the 2 screws removed earlier.
Re-connect the spring, using the plastic strip provided.
