Heating tape (optional)
If necessary, the automatic Hei-VOLUME Distimatic Pro module can be operated with a
heating tape (not included in the standard scope of delivery, see section „Scope of delivery" on
page 146, Heat control expansion card).
Principle of operation
The heating tape is wound around the tubing and preheats it during operation so that viscous
media are passed reliably out of the system.
The heating tape is connected to the Distimatic Pro and is integrated in the system software
via the corresponding heat control expansion card.

As soon as the heating tape has been detected correctly, a corresponding icon appears on
the software interface. Touch the associated icon to switch on/off the heating tape:
The operating behavior is defined by the process parameters of the selected mode (automatic
switching on, on-period/pause time in percent).
PRACTICAL EXAMPLE
Period 100 %, defined heating tape on-period 30 %, pause time 70 %,
for a 100-second cycle, equates to an on-period of 30 seconds per cycle.
