Commissioning
➜
Start the calibration process in the device software:
–
Open the main menu using the
start window:
Settings
– Open the
„Main menu" on page 105).

Follow the instructions on the display.

Calibration on high-polar solvents and mixtures:

Make sure the sensor is in the flask.
➜
Fill the evaporation flask with at least 500 ml of the product.
➜
Slide the sensor into the stopped flask until the sensor head is just above the fluid level or
– for example, in the case of mixtures with water – until the sensor head touches the fluid
level slightly.

PRACTICAL TIP
When processing solvents with a tendency toward boiling retardation
(e.g. ethanol), it is recommended to calibrate the sensor slightly less
sensitively.
This prevents the boiling retardation from being detected as a fluid and
the fluid level in the rotary flask from decreasing excessively before
adding new medium.
The sensor should only respond to liquids, never to boiling retardation or
foam!
