1. CHECKS TO BE CARRIED OUT ON RECEPTION

1.1 - Content of standard delivery
CHECK that the hoist (or the hoist with trolley) has suffered no damage during transit
CHECK that the hoist (or the hoist with trolley) received matches your order by examination of the identification plates as follows:
√ Model
√ Electrical power supply 230/400; 240/415 V 50Hz, Europe version; 220/380; 254/440 V 60Hz, US version.
√ Load capacity.
√ Type of chain.
√ Lifting height.
√ Lifting speed(s).
√ Hoist serial number.
√ CE marking and year of manufacture, European Union markets only.
CHECK that you have received the following parts:
√ Hoist.
√ Chain bag.
√ Wiring diagram and instructions manual.
√ CE conformity certificates, European Union markets only.
1.2 - Identification plates

1.3 - Short description
The tralift TE is available in one or two falls as show in Fig. 4.
The tralift TE is an electrical chain hoist consisting of :
√ Rigid suspension hook or lug.
√ A cast aluminium frame made of bolted modular parts.
√ A motor mounted in the hoist frame and fitted with thermal protection.
√ A double train gearbox subassembly with a friction clutch load limiting service.
√ A separate asbestos-free electromagnetic brake.
√ A set of upper and lower electrical limit switches.
√ A pendant control with an emergency stop.
√ A low voltage electrical control equipment (48v).
√ A phase protector.
√ A lifting sub-assembly with a chain sprocket wheel, chain guide grade 80 case hardened load chain, swivelling load hook
mounted on ball bearing (with return sheave for two falls models) and chain bag.
2. PRODUCT PRESENTATION

2.1 - Product range

Hoist : The tralift TE product line is composed of different models outlined (Fig. 3). The rated load range of 125 kg to 2 ton is availa-
ble in one or two lifting speeds. On request the hoist may be delivered with different lifting heights or pendant control cable
lengths. The hoist can be fitted with push, gear or electrical trolley (Fig 3 / 5 / 7 / 8).
Trolley : The trolley range is composed of 3 different models
The corso TE : range exist in two different models (1ton or 2 ton according to the following table (Fig. 5) with various travel-
ling speed possibilities (3 single speed & 2 double speeds) and 2 different type of mounting (hook suspension or lug moun-
ting).
The corso push trolley : exist (1 or 2 ton with either hook or lug mounting).
The corso gear trolley : exist (1 or 2 ton with either hook or lug mounting).

2.2 - Operating principle

Hoist : The tralift TE is an electric chain hoist powered by a motor driving through a gear box. The gear box turns a load wheel which
in turn moves the chain. For the single fall version, one end of the chain is fitted with the load hook and the other end is fit-
ted with end stop. The loose chain is stored in chain bag. For the double falls version, one end of the chain is fitted to the
hoist body (fix point). The chain is going through the load hook going up to the sprocket wheel and the other end is fitted with
an end stop. The loose chain is stored in chain.
The hoist is activated by a low voltage pendant control with three buttons: Lifting lowering and emergency stop. The hoist
body includes a rigid suspension hook or rigid axle (for lug mounting) to fit the hoist onto a support structure. The bottom hook
(load hook) is equipped with ball bearing to help the load to get the right positioning during lifting movements. The load is
connected to the load hook directly or through an accessory such as a sling.
The hoist is equipped with an electromagnetic disc brake connected to the motor shaft. The brake holds the suspended load
when the pendant control is not activated or in case of power failure. Safety devices ensure that the hoist conforms to safe-
ty regulations.
Electrical Trolley : A motor with a self braking worm gearbox operates two driving wheels via a pinion. A connecting bracket is sup-
plied as standard to connect the trolley electrical box to the main power feeding line leading trolley. Two drive limit
switch devices can be fitted as option.
