to do the job in angle measurements.
The angle unit of measurement selected in the
set-up will be set.
(6) Compensation (Fig. 23)
Runout compensation or ROC is used to com-
pensate any geometrical errors in the rim (runout
and plane error) and errors in fitting the clamps.
The compensation skip option is available if set
in the set-up.
Apply ballast to the vehicle as instructed and
select the RUNOUT compensation method
required.
The screen shows the databank references for
the selected vehicle.
indicates that the angle is adjustable.
Complete display of the databank values is avail-
able in the DATABANK DATA SUMMARY
The values which depend on input of the chassis
height values are only shown after these values
have been entered.
The compensation procedure is guided by means
of graphics showing the status or the operations
to be performed on each single target.
Standard Push Mode ROC (can be set from
Setup-Alignment mode)
Select the
icon. To activate the proce-
dure, you must mount the 4 targets.
1) Place the vehicle on the lift or above the pit
with the front wheels straight and clamp the
steering wheel with the steering clamp.
2) Mount the clamps on the wheels. Level the
targets with the aid of a spirit level. Fix the
targets in place on the brackets using the
Operator's manual EXACT LINEAR
relative locking device.
3) Follow the indications shown on the screen.
4) Move the vehicle backwards so that the
wheels complete a 30° rotation.
5) Move the vehicle forward to the initial posi-
tion.
6) If the final position values are too different
from the initial values, a procedural error is
signalled.
Professional Push Mode ROC (can be set from
Setup-Alignment mode)
This procedure allows you to eliminate the influ-
ence of the vehicle's mechanical play.
Select the
dure, you must mount the 4 targets.
1) Place the vehicle on the lift or above the pit
with the front wheels straight and clamp the
steering wheel with the steering clamp.
2) Mount the clamps on the wheels. Level the
targets with the aid of a spirit level. Fix the
targets in place on the brackets using the
relative locking device.
3) Follow the indications shown on the screen.
4) Draw the vehicle back, so that the wheels
complete the angle rotation shown on the
screen.
5) Move the vehicle forward to the intermediate
position, with the angle shown on the screen.
6) Move the vehicle forward to the initial posi-
tion.
7) If the final position values are too different
from the initial values, a procedural error is
.
signalled.
NOTE: if the stopping positions (shown on the
screen) are exceeded, it is necessary to repeat
the previous step of the procedure, as shown
on the screen.
ROC SKIP
Selecting the
"Angle measurement with steering locked to 10°
or 20°" with no need to perform any procedure
on the targets; compensation is disabled.
Fit the 4 levelled clamps and wait until the com-
pensation skip operation is over. The brackets
must be mounted so as to have the front panels
of the target perpendicular to the floor.
