2.3 General safety instructions
Observe the following general safety instructions.
• Proper and professional transport, storage, assembly and installation of the
product, as well as careful operation and maintenance, are all prerequisites for
fl awless and safe product operation.
• The work described in these instructions requires basic mechanical/electrical/
pneumatics knowledge, as well as knowledge of the appropriate technical terms. In
order to ensure safe use, these activities may therefore only be carried out by
qualifi ed technical personnel or an instructed person under the direction and
supervision of qualifi ed personnel. Qualifi ed personnel are those who can
recognize possible hazards and institute the appropriate safety measures due to

understanding of the relevant conditions pertaining to the work to be done.
Qualifi ed personnel must observe the rules relevant to the subject area.

• Observe the safety instructions and regulations applicable in the country in which
the device is used.
