CAUTION:
Read and understand the operating instructions before using the equipment.
These instructions should be read in conjunction with the tractor, the distributor and mower instructions.
To prevent personal injury or damage to the machine, observe all warnings and follow all safety and operating instructions.
1.
REDUCE forward speed when cutting long or wet grass.
2.
Use care when operating the collector on uneven or steeply sloping ground.
3.
NEVER discharge the grassbox while the tractor is on soft, sloping or uneven ground.
4.
ALWAYS disengage both the mower and collector drives, allow rotating blades and turbine to stop BEFORE discharging the grassbox.
5.
STOP the tractor engine, REMOVE the ignition key and WAIT for the mower blades and collector turbine to stop rotating BEFORE clearing any
blockage.
After reading these instructions:
1.
Start the engine and set engine Throttle to mid position.
2.
Engage the drive to grass collector turbine. Engage the drive to mower.
3.
Increase engine rpm to maximum and commence cutting.
IMPORTANT:
For efficient grass collection, airflow must be maintained beneath the mower deck.
Collector performance will be reduced at lowest mower height settings.
It is recommended that the mower cutting height is raised in difficult conditions and/or when collection is not satisfactory.
MAINTENANCE
Prior to the first use, make sure that the cylinder pins, side tie-rod pins and grassbox pivot pins are properly greased. Ensure subsequent regular
greasing operations to ensure proper operation (greasers and silent blocks every 25 hours).
Wash the collector with water and detergent. Do not use solvents such as gasoline, acetone, etc.
Regularly clean the collector's various air vents to maintain the performance characteristics.
Maintenance of the collector's turbine hydraulic system (oil level: put the mower on a horizontal surface):
1. After the first 50 hours: change the filter.
2. Check the oil level every 10 hours or every day.
3. Every 200 hours: change the oil and oil filter (25 litres of "Kubota Ultractive Hydraulique Oil 46").
4. Regularly check the condition of all hydraulic hoses.
5. Clean the exchanger.
6. Check all the bolts on the hydraulic pump are tightened. Tighten them if necessary.
Do not twist or flatten the hydraulic hoses.
Do not operate the turbine with a blocked hydraulic filter.
Do not operate the turbine without the cooling system.
Always block-off the hydraulic hoses using the caps intended for this purpose.
Check the tank cap is present. If the hydraulic circuit is polluted, change the oil and replace the hydraulic filter cartridge.
Caution: Checking for blockages in the circuit is done with the system in operation, when the oil
starts to heat up.
When the filter becomes blocked, the red indicator moves towards the centre. The filter is blocked when the
indicator is red (direction of oil flow, arrow engraved on the filter case).
