1.
Gain a good understanding of the equipment and its limitations. Read, understand and follow all the instructions given in this
manual before trying to use the grass collector.
2.
Pay particular attention to the safety labels on the tractor, mower and grass collector.
3.
The exhaust fumes are very hot. To avoid starting a fire, do not expose dry grass, mowed grass, oil or other combustible
substances to the exhaust fumes. Also keep the grass collector's exhaust outlet clean.
4.
4. Never wear slack, torn or loose fitting clothes. They may become trapped in the moving parts or controls, and lead to an
accident. Wear protective boots or shoes, eye and ear protection, protective gloves, etc.
5.
Do not wear earphones for listening to the radio or music when using the grass collector. You require all your attention in order to
use the grass collector in complete safety.
6.
Carefully check the ground before using the grass collector. Remove all objects from the work area (cables, stones, tree branches,
etc) that may be picked-up and thrown out.
7.
Do not use the grass collector whilst under the influence of alcohol, medication or other substances, or when tired.
8.
Check mechanical and hydraulic components to detect incorrect settings, wear or leaks. Replace worn or damaged parts without
delay. Regularly check the tightening of all nuts and bolts.
9.
Keep the grass collector in good working order, do not remove safety mechanisms and ensure they are kept in good working
order.
10. Do not modify the grass collector. Unauthorised modifications may affect the grass collector's operation and lead to serious injury.
11. Leave all protection housings and grills in place. For safety reasons, replace all missing or damaged components.
12. Never allow onlookers around or near the grass cutter whilst it is in operation. Check there is nobody in the work area before
mowing. Stop the machine if somebody enters the work area.
13. Before letting anyone else use the grass cutter, explain how it works and ensure they read this manual beforehand.
14. Never allow operators to climb onto the grass collector. It must only be operated whilst seated in the driver's seat.
15. As well as by the equipment's design and configuration, checking for danger and preventing accidents depend on the attention,
implication and care taken by those involved in the use, transport and maintenance of the grass collector.
16. Ensure the grass collector is kept clean. The accumulation of dirt, grease, and debris create a risk of fire and personal injury.
17. Only use fixings recommended by KUBOTA.
18. Never operate levers from anywhere other than the driver's seat.
1.
Never use the grass collector if the turbine is not connected to the grassbox's routing pipe and the mower boot's flexible pipe.
2.
Always look where you are going. Pay attention to obstacles and avoid them. Take care when going around trees and other
obstacles.
3.
Check behind you before reversing. Look backwards before reversing and whilst reversing. Check the area immediately behind
you is free of obstacles or holes, and that there are no young children around.
4.
When working in a group, always tell the other people what you are going to do before starting.
5.
Do not cut the grass is there are people in the area to be cut.
6.
To reduce fire risks, ensure there is no grass or leaves around the exhaust.
7.
Cut the tractor's engine, remove the ignition key and wait until the turbine has come to a complete standstill before unclogging the
grassbox's routing pipe or the mower boot's flexible pipe.
8.
Always examine the grass collector and the mower after hitting a foreign body. Check that all parts of the grass collector and
mower are safe, correctly fixed and in good condition. Repair or replace any damaged parts before recommencing work.
9.
Only work during the daytime or with high-power artificial lighting.
10. Never uncouple hydraulic connections when the tractor is in operation.
11. Don't use the grass collector where it may tip over or skid.
12. Don't use the grass collector near to ditches, holes, embankments or places that may give way under the weight of the tractor and
grass collector. The risk of it tipping over is higher when the ground is soft or wet.
13. Don't try to stabilise the machine by placing a foot on the ground.
14. Don't lift the grassbox when the machine is on a slope.
15. Don't lift the grassbox if there are people close to the grass collector.
16. Pay attention to holes and other hidden dangers in the ground. Don't approach a cliff edge. Uneven ground may cause the tractor
and grass collector to tip over. High grass may hide obstacles.
17. The weight of the grass in the grassbox may increase the risk of it tipping over.
18. Wait until the machine and all its accessories have come to a complete standstill before starting to dismantle it.
19. Before climbing down from the tractor, lower the grassbox, put all the control levers in neutral, action the parking brake, switch-off
