Trimming Saws Safety Instructions
Caution:
It is for the sake of your safety that the saw operation is not permitted unless/until the saw is
fully assembled and installed to the description and you have read and understood the safety
instructions.
Steps to be taken prior to the first use:
1.
Assembly and installation
2.
Getting familiar with the function and correct operations of the controls as follows:
A. on/off switch
B. upper and lower protective cover
C. saw shaft and push-button lock on the handle
D. skew setting of the saw head, stop clips and turning table lock
3. Read all the safety information and operating instructions in this manual and take care to
understand it.
4. Observe all the precautionary notices on the trimming saw.

Before every use

1.
Check the saw. If a part is missing, bent or unserviceable for another reason, if there is a
defect on electrical equipment, switch the saw off and unplug it. Prior to the following use,
replace all the missing, damaged or defective parts.

Organise your work so that your eyes, hands, face and ears are protected.
3.
Wear safety goggles in compliance with requests of DIN 58214 standard. Various particles could
fly into your eyes in the course of use of the machine and impair your sight permanently. Safety
goggles may be bought at the place of purchase of the trimming saw. The use of the goggles not
complying with DIN 58214 standard may cause a serious injury in result of the protection glass
cracking.
Safety goggles may be bought at the place you bought your trimming saw. Use of safety goggles
other than in compliance with DIN 58214 standard may be dangerous, the safety glass cracks
may cause a severe injury of eyes.
4.
At a dusty job, wear a dust mask together with them.

To prevent jamming of the disc in the sawed join or the material cut being thrown away:

Choose a disc to fit specific job. Use this trimming saw for cutting wood, material similar to
wood or soft metal, such as aluminium.

The arrow on the saw disc indicating the direction of rotation should point in the same direction
as that one on the saw. The saw disc teeth should aim downwards at the machine front side.

Make sure that the disc is sharp, free of any damages and properly adjusted. When the
machine is unplugged, press the saw head downwards. Rotate the disc by hand, try it to see
that it runs easily. Tilt the head at 45° and repeat the test. If the disc touches the saw at a spot,
readjust the saw head, following instruction in Article 6 "Job Preparation".

Keep the disc and the flange clamping surfaces clean.
14.
The disc flanges turned fit should be directed inside in the direction of the disc.
15.
The disc side with the flange with turned fir must abut to the disc flange.
16.
The flange screw must be tightened by hand, using a socket wrench 13 mm.
17.
Make sure that any clamping devices and safety assemblies are strong and no part has too
much travel.
