General Safety Regulations

1.
Get familiar with the unit.
Read all the warning precautions on the unit carefully. Familiarise yourself with the areas and
limits of use and with the risks related to the operation.
Keep this instruction manual at a safe place.
2.
Ground all the devices.
Double insulation is fitted on the unit. However, common safety provisions for electrical devices
should not be ignored.
3.
Keep the protection devices well fitted, functioning and set-up.
4.
Always remove the set-up tools!
Before switching on, get used to check to see that all the set-up tools are removed.
5.
Keep the workplace tidy.
Scattered tools and material increase the risk of injury. Sawdust or wax makes the floor slippery.
6.
Do not work in endangered environment. .
Do not use electrical devices in wet or moist spaces and do not expose them to rain. Provide for
sufficient lighting and sufficient freedom of movement.
7.
Keep children at a safe distance.
Any visitors should remain at safe distance from your workplace.
8.
Safeguard your workshop against the access of children. Use padlocks, main switches or
lockable machine switches,
9.
Do not overload the unit
Your job will be accomplished faster and better if the unit is not overloaded.
10.
Use correct tools
Never use tools and accessories to do a job, they were not designed for.
11.
Wear purpose-fitting working clothes
Do not wear loose, gloves, a tie and jewellery that could be ought by rotating parts of the
machine. Mind stability of your body (anti-skid shoes). If your hair is long, wear a hairnet.
12.
Wear protection goggles.
Always wear protection goggles by DN 5821 4 at work. Regular glasses just impact resistant and
cannot replace safety goggles. Wear a dust mask for a dusty job. Protection earpieces should be
worn for a prolonged work with the unit.
13.
Secure the piece to be cut.
Use joiner's clam or a vice to hold the piece to be cut. It is safer than holding by hand and you
will have both the hands free to operate the saw.
14.
Mind sufficient stability.
Avoid any poise that could make you loose balance.
15.
Take proper care of your tools.
Keep your tools clean and sharp
16.
Unplug the machine.
Unplug before any maintenance or adjustment.
17.
Prevent unintended switching.
Before unplugging, make sure that the switch is in OFF position.
18.
Use recommended accessories.
Observe instructions attached to accessories. Use of improper accessories may be dangerous.
19.
Never stand atop the machine.
Machine overturning or unintended contact with the cutting tool may cause severe injuries.
Do not store the material over the machine or by it so that you would need to stand atop of the
machine.
20.
Check the unit for damages of some parts.
Check the protection devices and the other parts carefully before every use for you to see that
they still perform their function. Check their adjustment, easy run, possible cracks or other
damage that could affect the machine function. The damaged part should be replaced or
repaired by a professional.
21.
Do not let the machine work unattended.
Switch the unit off and leave it only when it comes to standstill.
