Positioning the Patient

The patient must remove all metal objects such as
glasses and jewelry as well as removable dental
prostheses from the head and neck regions
Let patients with body heights of approx. 136cm to
approx. 176cm stand between the ear olive piece
holders; in the case of taller or smaller patients, let
them sit on a stationary, height-adjustable chair with
short backrest.
Press the ↑ or ↓ height adjustment button on the unit
and set the cephalometer so that the ear cones are
at the same height as the external auditory canals.
Monitor with Help LED (19), see "Height adjust-
ment help message" section on page 13.
The height-adjustment range for teleradiographs is
limited to approx. 71 - 486 cm. In the case of displays
outside this range, Help LED (19) is illuminated
Gently introduce the ear cones into the external au-
ditory canals, holding the ear olive piece holders at
the very top.
ATTENTION
Ensure that no hair, pieces of clothing, jewelry etc. are
touching the back section of the head support.
The patient's arms must hang loosely next to the body.
Physical constitution, clothing, bandages etc. must not
interfere with the functioning of the unit! Perform a test
run with the T button (see page13)
