Switch ON unit and PC

ATTENTION
Following extreme temperature fluctuations, condensate
formation may occur; therefore please do not switch on
the device until normal room temperature has been
reached
The unit adjusts itself automatically.
Prepare SIDEXIS program on PC for ORTHO-
PHOS Plus DS Ceph (XC) exposure stand-by.
(See SIDEXIS User's Manual.)
Help LED (13) for SIDEXIS exposure stand-by in Con-
trol Panel A extinguishes.
Select Ceph function by bringing diaphragm No.
30 or No. 40 into position.
No. 30 asymmetric A, for lateral exposures or
No. 40 symmetric S, for AP, PA or carpal exposures.
To bring the diaphragm into position:
press locking button (11) and turn diaphragm wheel (10)
until it clicks into the desired position. The diaphragm
number appears on the top right of the diaphragm.
ATTENTION
When selecting diaphragm 30 (A) the ear olive piece
holders must be in position A (see page 14).
On the Multitimer,
the C above s as well as the kV/mA and s exposure data
of the most recently taken teleradiograph are illumi-
nated.
The Ready LED above the R button on the Multitimer
flashes.
On Control Panel A, the forehead support adjustment
display shows either A for asymmetric or S for symmet-
ric positioning of the secondary diaphragm.
U (undefined) may also appear if, for example, the
patient diaphragm is manually moved to a position
between A and S.
If the position of the patient diaphragm on the head sup-
port coincides with diaphragm A or S selected on the
diaphragm wheel, Help LED (18) for diaphragm
adjustment on Control Panel A extinguishes.
