Press and do not immediately release the exposure
button to initiate the scan process for the exposure. The
scan process is accompanied by an acoustic signal. It
takes approximately 25s. The constant radiation time
during the scan process is a maximum of 16s.
First the unit travels upwards (without radiation). Then
the unit travels downwards (with radiation). Finally the
unit travels upwards again and returns to its initial posi-
tion - FH position on the head positioner (without radia-
tion).
For the duration of the radiation period, the X-RAY indi-
cator on the Multitimer lights up.
The scan process for the teleradiograph is over
when the unit stops moving and the Ready LED
above button R on the Multitimer flashes and the
acquisition is displayed on the PC.
i
NOTE
In case of disturbances of the data transmission to the
PC, the unit changes automatically into a safe mode,
which saves the acquired image until the image has
been transmitted by a service program (SiRescue). The
safe mode is indicated by the help message H4 20.
ATTENTION
In this condition the unit or the PC may not be switched
off, in order to prevent the saved image from being delet-
ed.
For operating the SiRescue service program please
observe the corresponding software description in the
SIDEXIS User Manual.
The help message H4 20 is no longer displayed after the
image has been transmitted by the SiRescue service
program.
i
NOTE
Only then may the units be switched off or put into the
ready for exposure state.
Should another teleradiograph be required, first press
the Return button R. The Ready LED extinguishes.
