COMBINATION" FURNACE RECOMMENDED MINIMUM 7"(178mm) DIAMETER LISTED (UL 103HT) RESIDENTIAL CHIMNEY.
CHIMNEY CONNECTOR: 6" (152mm) DIAMETER MINIMUM 24 GAUGE STEEL MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM HORIZONTAL CONNECTOR AND CEILING 18" (455mm).
SPECIAL METHODS ARE REQUIRED WHEN PASSING A CHIMNEY THROUGH A WALL OR CEILING. SEE INSTRUCTIONS AND BUILDING CODES.
DO NOT CONNECT THIS UNIT TO A CHIMNEY FLUE SERVING ANOTHER APPLIANCE. EXCEPTION "ADD ON" CONFIGURATION WITH AN OIL FURNACE REFER TO MANUAL.

IF HEATER OR CHIMNEY CONNECTORS GLOW, YOU ARE OVERFIRING – IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF THERMOSTAT AND
ENSURE PRIMARY SHUTTER FIRING AND ASHPIT DOOR ARE CLOSED.
CAUTION: MAINTAIN COMBUSTION AIR SUPPLY TO BOTH FURNACES. AIR STARVATION IS DANGEROUS (SEE MANUAL UNDER "OUTSIDE COMBUSTION AIR".
THE HMF150 FURNACE MAY BE CONNECTED TO DUCTWORK (SUPPLY SIDE – SEE MANUAL) OF ANOTHER FURNACE WHEN USED AS AN WOOD FURNACE "ADD-ON".
CERTIFIED FOR SERIES CONNECTION TO THE SUPPLY PLENUM OUTLET ONLY OF A GAS FIRED, OIL FIRED, OR ELECTRIC FURNACE.
DO NOT CONNECT DUCTWORK SO THAT REVERSE FLOW IS POSSIBLE.
FOR "ADD ON" INSTALLATION REFER TO MANUFACTURES INSTRUCTIONS FROM ORIGINAL FURNACE FOR INFORMAITON ON MINIMUM DUCT SIZING, ALLOWABLE
DUCT OPENINGS IN FURNACE CASING AND ELECTRIC DIAGRAMS AND INFORMATION.
DO NOT RELOCATE OR BYPASS ANY OF THE SAFETY CONTROLS IN THE ORIGINAL FURNACE INSTALLATION ("ADD ON" CONFIGURATION).
DO NOT OBSTRUCT SPACE UNDER FURNACE. UNIT CAN BE INSTALLED ON COMBUSTIBLE SURFACE (WOOD SUBSTRATE ONLY – CARPET AND OTHER FLOOR
COVERINGS TO BE REMOVED) PROVIDING EMBER STOP SHIELD (SEE MANUAL) INSTALLED BETWEEN FURNACE AND FLOOR AND MINIMUM 1 ¼" AIR GAP
MAINTAINED BETWEEN FURNACE AND FLOOR.
INCASE OF POWER FAILURE: PUSH DOWN ON THE CONTROL ARM OF THE PRIMARY AIR CONTROL AND LOCK IT DOWN USING ROTATING CLASP. TO AVOID
EXCESSIVE HEAT BEING TRAPPED IN DUCT WORK ENSURE ALL RETURN AND SUPPLY AIR REGISTERS ARE NOT BLOCKED BY OBJECTS OR DEBRIS AND ALL DUCT
CONTROL DAMPERS ARE SET OPEN. SEE MANUAL FOR OPERATION OF WOOD FURNACE IF ELECTRICAL POWER HAS BEEN INTERRUPTED.
OPERATE ORIGINAL FURNACE (ELECTRIC, OIL, GAS) OF A "ADD ON" CONFIGURATION PERIODICALLY TO ENSURE IT WILL OPERATE SATISFACTORILY WHEN NEEDED.
THE HEAT EXCHANGER, FLUE PIPE AND CHIMNEY MUST BE INSPECTED FREQUENTLY AND CLEANED REGULARLY TO REMOVE ACCUMULATED CREOSOTE AND
ASH. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF USE, CREOSOTE BUILDUP MAY OCCUR RAPIDLY. ENSURE THAT THE HEAT EXCHANGER, FLUE PIPE AND CHIMNEY ARE
CLEANED AT END OF BURNING SEASON, THIS HELPS TO MINIMIZE CORROSION IN THE SUMMER MONTHS. THE APPLIANCE, FLUE PIPE AND CHIMNEY MUST BE
MAINTAINED IN GOOD CONDITION. UNSAFE TO FIRE WITH WOOD ABOVE TOP OF REFRACTORY BRICK INSIDE COMBUSTIBLE CHAMBER.
USE SUPPLY WIRES SUITABLE FOR 90°C. SEE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM.

THESE ARE THE ONLY AUTHORIZED COMPONENTS THAT MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE HMF150 FURNACE ASIDE FROM CONNECTION TO FORCED AIR SYSTEM
RETURN AND SUPPLY PLENUMS. MODULES MUST BE INSTALLED TO MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS POSTED IN THE INSTALLATION/OWNERS MANUAL ACCOMPA-
NYING HMF150 AND INSTRUCTION ADDENDUMS INCLUDED WITH EACH MODULE.
