GLASS REPLACEMENT

CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN REMOVING AND DISPOSING OF ANY BROKEN DOOR GLASS OR
DAMAGED COMPONENTS. BE SURE TO VACUUM UP ANY BROKEN GLASS FROM INSIDE THE
DO NOT STRIKE, SLAM OR SCRATCH GLASS. DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE WITH GLASS
9.6.1
When the appliance is cool, open the door and place the
door frame down careful not to scratch the paint.
9.6.2
Remove the screws and brackets holding the glass in
place. Remove all broken glass.
9.6.3
Wrap the edges of the new glass with a U-shaped strip of
fi berglass gasket, covering 1/4" on each side.
9.6.4
Place the glass with the fi berglass gasket in position and
replace the brackets and screws. When fi nished, you should
be able to move the glass slightly, horizontally and vertically.
NOTE
For replacement glass, size, thickness and specifi cations
see "REPLACEMENTS" section.
9.7

INSULATION INSERT REPLACEMENT

At the end of each burning season inspect the fi re box door fi bre insulation for deterioration or breakage.
Replace if necessary.
9.7.1
When the appliance is cool, open the door and place the door
frame down careful not to scratch the paint.
9.7.2
Remove the screws , spacers and pins holding the heat
shield on. Remove the heat shield.
9.7.3
Remove the screws and brackets holding the insert in place.
Remove the insert.
9.7.4
Wrap the edges of the new insert with a "U" shaped strip of
fi berglass gasket, covering ¼" on each side.
9.7.5
Place the insert with the fiberglass gasket in position and
replace the bracket and screws. When finished you should be
able to move the insert slightly, horizontally and vertically.
9.7.6
Position the heat shield on the fire box door and replace the
spacers, screws and pins.
NOTE
For replacement insulation insert see "REPLACEMENTS" section.
