• Wet the tyre bead and rim profile with soap and water (Fig. 11)
using a brush.
• Using a compressor, inflate the tyre to the working pressure shown
on the tyre itself, until the two beads of the tyre engage with the rim
(Fig. 12).
Deflate the tyre almost completely (Fig. 13) and inspect the tyre by
pressing lightly with your fingers along the entire circumference to
make sure the bead is perfectly inserted.
If the tyre is not properly mounted the bead will come out of its
housing on the rim.
DANGER!
In case you are installing tubeless ready tyres, it's compulsory
to use pierce-resistant sealers. A damaged tyre could explode,
even suddenly, and cause accidents, physical injury or death.
NEVER use pierce-resistant sealers containing alkaline substan-
ces (ammonia - sodium hydroxide).
• Never exceed the maximum inflation pressure recommended
by the tyre manufacturer, and in any case do not exceed the ma-
ximum pressure indicated in the Rim-Tyre-Pressure Compatibili-
ty Table at www.campagnolo.com in the Support area.
• The maximum pressure varies according to tyre width: for a 25
mm wide tubeless tyre for example, the maximum pressure is 7
bar, and for 28 mm it drops to 6.3 bar.
• Excessive tire pressure reduces grip on the road and increases
the risk that the tire will unexpectedly burst.
• Inflation pressure that is too low reduces tire performance and
increases the probability of sudden and unexpected loss of tire
pressure. In addition, premature wear and damage to the rim
may occur.
• Incorrect tire pressure could cause sudden and unexpected
tire failure or loss of control of the bicycle, resulting in an acci-
dent, personal injury or death.
