• Once you have set the cooking parameters, start the program by pressing the "start" button
(see Fig.8).
At the end of the steam programs, the appliance will automatically switch to keep-warm mode
for 45 minutes to keep your meal hot until it is ready to serve.
Warning: After cooking, first take hold of the external steam basket by placing your hands
on the handles (see Fig. 9). Then take hold of the juice collector in order to avoid spilling
any liquid. NB: The steamer may be hot. To avoid burns, make sure you take the juice
collector by positioning your hands on the handles (see Fig. 10).
When you remove the steamer, steam will continue to rise after you open the bowl lid.
The steamer must only be used with the Cuisine Companion (it is not suitable for microwave
ovens or other appliances).
COOKING TIME TABLES
To steam cook with the steamer, at least 0.7 litres of water must be poured into the bottom of
the bowl.
0.7 L of water is suitable for the default time of 35 minutes, but if you want to cook longer you
must add 0.25 L of water per additional 15 minutes or refer to the suggested recipes.
You can open the lid to check cooking, making sure to pause the program by pressing the start/
stop button (see Fig 8). Avoid repeating this procedure too often, as it causes a loss of steam
and slows down the cooking process.
