19. Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never take it apart.
The product should only be repaired by a specialist or specialist workshop or it might be
damaged. Furthermore, the CE approval will become void as well as the guarantee/warranty.
Clean the product only with a soft, clean and fuzz-free cloth. Do not use cleaning agents as
they may corrode the plastic housing and wear off the labelling.
Dust can be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
20. Handling
• Observe all safety instructions in this manual! They provide you with
important information about dangers that exist when handling accumulator
chargers and batteries.
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Children cannot judge the dangers involved when handling chargers or
batteries .
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the setup location
and during operation and transport:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- extreme cold (<0°C) or heat (>+35°C), direct sunlight
- Dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- strong vibrations, impact or blows
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or
• Place the charger on a level, firm surface. It must be large enough so that the
accumulator or accumulator pack attached can be safety placed alongside
the charger. Maintain a distance of minimum 20cm between the charger and
accumulator (and the power supply) to prevent them from heating each other
up.
The accumulator/accumulator pack may not be placed on or under the
charger!
