c) Cycle program ("CYCLE")
To test or refresh accumulators, you can perform up to 5 cycles in sequence. The two possible
combinations are "Charge/Discharge" ("CHG>DCHG") and "Discharge/Charge"
("DCHG>CHG").
• After you have selected the "NiMH" or "NiCd" program in the main menu with the button "Batt
Type/Stop" and confirmed this with the button "Start/Enter", you can select the cycle program
using the button "INC" or "DEC" (illustration shows NiMH accumulator):

• If you want to switch the charge/discharge sequence or set the cycle number, press the
button "Start/Enter". The text for the sequence now blinks in the bottom line of the display.
Change it using the buttons "INC" and "DEC".

First the accumulator is charged and then discharged in the left image. In the right image,
this sequence is reversed, meaning first the accumulator is discharged and then charged.
• Confirm the selection by pressing the "Start/Enter" button.
• Afterwards the cycle count blinks, meaning how often the presently set sequence of charge/
discharge or discharge/charge operations is performed. You can set a value from 1 to 5
cycles with the buttons "INC" or "DEC". Confirm your entry as usual with the buttons "Start/
Enter".
• To start the cycle, keep the "Start/Enter" button pressed (approx. 3 seconds).
• If the settings are wrong, or if the charger detects a problem, an audio signal is emitted and
the appropriate information is shown on the display.
• Once the cycle is completed, an audio signal is emitted.

If you wish to terminate the cycle beforehand, press the "Batt Type/Stop"
button.
