4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 LIGHT SWITCH

See fig.5 (n.2 fig.2).
P = Parking lights
0 = Off
1 = Parking lights
2 = Low beams
3 = High beams (not for on-road use)
Push: horn.

4.2 IGNITION SWITCH

See fig.6 (n.3 fig.2) and consult engine instruction manual.
Before starting the engine, check to make sure the gear lever, (n.4 fig.1), the
speed range/reverser lever (n.3 fig.1) and the PTO control lever (n.8 fig.1) are all
in neutral. Depress the clutch pedal (n.1 fig.1), to close the start enable switch
and turn the ignition key as follows:
0= No circuit live
1= Switch

Pre-heat position (only for engines equipped with this device): hold in this
position until indicator light n.9 fig.3 (n.1 fig.30) goes out.
2= Starting the engine.
Once the engine has started: release the key which will automatically return to
operating position: 1.
Check all the indicator lights and control instruments.
Check the low oil pressure warning light, n.13 fig.3 (n.4 fig.30). It should turn out
after the engine has been started for a couple of seconds.
The temperature gauge needle, (n.9 fig.2 - n.15 fig.30), once the engine is hot
and running at normal speed, will be in the green segment of the gauge (80°-
95°). The cooling system must be serviced once the red zone has been reached

4.3 STOPPING THE ENGINE

Push the throttle lever (n.8 fig.2) forward to the minimum setting and release the
accelerator pedal (n.10 fig.1), turn the ignition switch (n.3 fig.2) to "0".
Pull up the parking brake lever n. 13 fig.1.

4.4 DRIVING THE TRACTOR

Parking brake (n.13 fig.1) lowered.
Disengage the clutch by pressing in pedal n.1 fig.1
Do not ride the clutch as this will cause excessive wear on the thrust bearing.
