4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 LIGHT SWITCH
See fig.3 (n.4 fig.2).
0 = Off.
1 = Parking lights.
2 = Low beams.
3 = High beams (not for on-road driving).
Push: horn.
4.2 ENGINE IGNITION SWITCH
See fig.4 (n.5 fig.2). Consult engine instruction booklet.

Before starting the engine, check that the gear lever and the (n.16 fig.1) and the
range lever (n.17 fig.1) are in neutral. Depress the clutch pedal (n.19 fig.1) to
close the switch on the "Push And Start" device and turn the key as follows:
0 = No circuit live.
1 = Instruments and indicator lights on (running position).
2 = Engine ignition.
Once the engine has caught: release the key which will automatically reset to
operating position "1".
Check all the indicator and status signalling lights.
Make sure that the oil pressure warning light is out. If it stay lit, this means that
oil pressure is insufficient. In this case, switch the engine off and check the
engine instruction booklet.
4.3 STOPPING THE ENGINE
Move the throttle lever (n.18 fig.1) above to its minimum setting and pull out
knob n.2 fig.2 (n.20 fig.1).
Pull up the parking brake n.6 fig.1.
WARNING: The steering action of the power steering system will be
reduced if the engine accidentally stops. Depress the main brake to allow the
machine to come to a full stop.
