Recording Area Settings
Of the built-in hard disk, 80% is assigned to the
normal recording area, 19% to the alarm recording
area, and 1% to the archive area as the defaults.
You may change this assignment and reset the areas
with a menu operation.
For the normal recording and alarm recording areas,
you can also set whether to overwrite the data or stop
recording when the area becomes full.
Changing the size of an area
You can change the percentages of areas using the
submenu 1. RECORDING AREA SET of the main
menu 2. RECORD SET.
Note
When you change the area assignment, the previous
data will be lost.

Select 2. RECORD SET from the main menu.

Select 1. RECORDING AREA SET from the
submenu.
The RECORDING AREA SET display appears,
showing the current settings.

Turn the Jog dial to highlight the area to be
changed, and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to
finalize your selection.
The current value of the selected area flashes.

Turn the Jog dial to select the desired value and
turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to register the
setting.
You may set the normal recording area and the
alarm recording area independently.

The total value of the areas must be 99%.
The percentage of the archive area is automatically
calculated (in the range of 1 to 15 % according to
the values of the normal recording and the alarm
recording areas.
A confirmation message is displayed.

To execute the change, select YES and turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise.
To cancel, select NO.
Resetting an area
You may clear all the data in an area by a reset
operation.
Notes
The normal and alarm recording areas can be reset
only when the OVERWRITE function (see the next
paragraph) is OFF.
You cannot delete specific events only.

Highlight the AREA FULL RESET line of the area
you wish to reset on the RECORDING AREA SET
display and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
A confirmation message appears.

Shuttle dial clockwise.
To cancel, select NO.
Overwriting a recording area
For the normal recording and alarm recording areas,
you can set whether to overwrite the data or stop
recording when the area becomes full.
Use the submenu 2. RECORDING CONDITIONS
SET of the main menu 2. RECORD SET.
You may also set the warning status when the
remaining capacity of a recording area becomes close
to the end.
