Searching From the Alarm
Recording List
You can find and play back a picture recorded in the
alarm recording area from the Alarm Recording list.

Select ALARM SEARCH on the SEARCH menu.
The ALARM SEARCH display appears, listing the
number, time, date, and channel number of alarm
recording events.

The total number of alarm events recorded in the
alarm recording area is shown below TOTAL
ALARMS.
The list can show up to 8 events at once.

Turn the Jog dial to highlight the desired alarm
event.
When one second has elapsed after you highlight,
the thumbnail image of the selected event is
displayed in the preview zone.

Turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The unit enters Playback mode, and the picture of
the selected event is played full-screen.
Note
When playback of the selected alarm event is
finished, the unit enters Still-Picture mode. The
status indication on the display also changes to X
(pause symbol), which, however, in rare cases,
remains as B (playback symbol). This is a
problem only of the OSD, and has no effect on
operations. Such phenomenon will never occur on
the Web-browser display when connected via a
network.

You may skip to the previous alarm event with the
ALARM . button and to the next alarm event
with the ALARM > button.
Searching by the Thumbnail
Image
You can find and play back a picture recorded in the
alarm recording area by the thumbnail image.

Select ALARM THUMBNAIL SEARCH on the
SEARCH menu.
The ALARM THUMBNAIL SEARCH set display
appears, showing thumbnail images of the latest 9
alarm recording events.

When you turn the Jog dial counterclockwise with
the upper left picture (0109 in above example)
selected (the picture number flashes), the next 9
events are displayed.
When you turn the Jog dial clockwise with the
lower right picture (0101) selected, the previous 9
events are displayed.

Turn the Jog dial so that the number of the desired
event flashes.

Turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The unit enters Playback mode, and the picture of
the selected event is played full-screen.
You may skip to the previous alarm event with the
ALARM . button and to the next alarm event
with the ALARM > button.
