Settings
When using the RS-232C or RS-485 interface, perform
the necessary settings with the submenu 4. RS-232C/
RS-485 SET of the main menu 3. GENERAL SET.

information of this unit.
ADDRESS: Set the address (1 to 127) when using RS-
485.

Initializing the hard disk
You can initialize the hard disk using the submenu 5.
HDD SET of the main menu 3. GENERAL SET as
required.
For details on menu operations, see "Menu Operations" on
page 15(GB).

LIMITED BY MIRRORING!
Highlight DISK INITIALIZE and turn the Shuttle dial
clockwise.
Initializing begins.
When initializing is completed, the size of the disk is
displayed.
Activating the mirroring function
As the unit is equipped with two hard disks, the
mirroring function to record the same data on both of
the disks can be activated.
MIRRORING: Set to ON to activate the mirroring
function.
PLAYBACK DRIVE: Select the drive from which to
read the data for playback if data are recorded on
both drives with the mirroring function.
Note
In mirroring, when you set MIRRORING to ON, the
maximum recording cycle available will be limited to
30 FPS (HSR-X216) or 25 FPS (HSR-X209P/X216P)
without pre-alarm recording, or 15 FPS (HSR-X216)
or 12.5 FPS (HSR-X209P/X216P) with pre-alarm
recording. Along with this, it includes a case for
recording time change. So, please always check
recording time available and the number of times for
alarm via "NORMAL REC MODE SET" and
"ALARM REC MODE SET" in the menu.
