As long as the normal recording area has been
established on the hard disk, the recording rate for
pre-alarm recording is fixed to 15 FPS (HSR-
X216) or 12.5 FPS (HSR-X209P/X216P). If you
cancel the normal recording area (by setting the
area to 0%), the recording cycle for pre-alarm
recording can be set to 60 FPS at maximum.

Setting the Activity Detection
Sensor
When you use the built-in activity detection sensor, it
is necessary to set the sensing points, the TIME
PERIOD during which the sensor activates, sensitivity,
and operation mode for each camera.
On the ALARM OPERATION SETTING screen,
move the cursor to ACTIVITY SENSOR, then turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise to change to the Activity
Detection Sensor Set display.
The sensor marks are displayed on a 10×16 grid on the
monitor, and the top left mark flashes.

Select a camera.
Press the INPUT SELECTOR button
corresponding to the camera whose activity
detection sensor is to be activated.
The number of the camera selected will be
displayed in the lower-left corner of the setting
screen.

Set the sensor to ON.
Turn the Jog dial so that the mark at the point
where you wish to activate the sensor flashes, then
turn the Shuttle dial clockwise to select A or B (see
step 5).
If you wish the sensor to activate when the
luminance of the whole screen becomes
homogeneous, you do not need to set to either A
or B.
