Installation
The digital Plug and Measure feature allows the user
to measure CO
The sensor is recognized automatically by the trans-
mitter and all relevant data is sent to the transmitter
for automatic configuration. The CO
displayed immediately.
The sensor is factory calibrated and the data is
stored in the sensor. Calibration data therefore does
not need to be entered by the user (to achieve best
performance at given temperature we recommend to
perform a process calibration).
4.1
Mounting the sensor
a
Important! Remove the protection cap before
m ount i ng the sensor.
Do not remove the MembraCap (membrane cap)
that is screwed onto the sensor. If this is done the
sensor needs recalibration.
4.1.1 Mounting and positioning the sensor
a
Attention! Do not turn the sensor counter-clockwise
when installed in a 28 mm housing. The Membra-
Cap might be loosened.
The sensor is available in three versions and can
be fitted without a housing to the following process
connections / armatures:
– Sanitary DN40 VARINLINE
– 2" Tri-Clamp
– 28 mm M42 weld on sockets
– 28 mm M42 VARINLINE
The sensor must be installed in a way that the
MembraCap is in contact with the process fluid to be
measured.
– Make sure the sensor is mounted from the side
or from the top
– Avoid mounting the sensor from the bottom
– Mount the sensor in a flow ascending position
– Avoid a position near to pump discharges
Flow requirement:
For the sensor's proper functioning the flow in the
pipe needs to achieve a min. flow of 0.5 m/s
4.1.2 Removing the sensor and storage
– To remove the sensor from the process the pipe
needs to be drained. Avoid counter-clockwise
rotation in case where the sensor is installed on
a 28 mm socket.
