Note: If the message "Cal out of Limit" appears
please check the gas supplies (calibration gas and
purge gas) and / or if the MembraCap needs to be
exchanged. In this case please abort the calibration.
h
Note: If only a verification of the calibration is need-
ed, choose "safe calibrate" in the transmitter menu.
There is also the choice for aborting the calibration
"save abort".
h
Note: When the MembraCap is exchanged the
sensor needs to be operated at least 15 min. before
performing a calibration.
h
Note: Be aware that when calibration is done with
CO
reference gas the sensor will show sligthly dif-

accurate measurement in liquids. For calibration
verification purposes with reference gas please fol-
low the steps in chapter 6, comparing the new and
old slope values.
5.3.4 In-line process single-point calibration
If the user requires that the sensor measures the
same values as with established off-line reference
CO
measuring methods, the InPro 5500 i offers a
2
single-point process calibration option.
Calibration procedure:
– Start calibration by pressing the cal button on the
transmitter and select CO
Type = Process
– Take a sample from the process fluid at the same
time from which the CO
mined by an established reference method and
confirm capture
– After analyzing the CO
transmitter and start cal again and enter the
reference value in mg / L, V / V, mbar or hPa
– Once the calibration is done, save the calibration
to the sensor by confirming "Save Adjust"
– A message "calibration successful" appears
– Now the sensor is process calibrated and ready
for use
h
Note: If message "Cal out of Limit" appears please
check your reference measurement or if the mem-
brane cap needs to be exchanged. In this case
please abort the calibration.
