4.1. Connection
•
Mains supply connections must comply with the
national requirements regarding medical rooms.
•
Prior to connection of this apparatus to the mains
supply, check that the voltage and frequency
stated on the type plate correspond with the avail-
able mains supply.
4.2. Connection mains cable
•
Connect the supplied mains cable to the con-
nection mains cable [21].
•
Connect the mains cable to a grounded safety

CHAPTER 4 - INSTALLATION
4.5. Electromagnetic interference
•
Operation in close proximity (i.e. less than 2
metres) to working shortwave or microwave
therapy units may produce instability in the
ELTRAC 471 output.
•
To prevent electromagnetic interference, we
strongly advise using separate mains groups
(phases) for the ELTRAC 471 and the shortwave
or microwave equipment, and a distance of at
least 2 metres is kept between the ELTRAC 471
and the shortwave or microwave equipment.
•
Ensure that the mains cable of the shortwave/mi-
crowave unit does not come near the Endomed
or the patient.
If problems with electromagnetic interference per-
sist, please contact your authorised distributor.
