If the interval is greater than that indicated above, one should also clean the solenoid valve (drain), the
filter and the supply nozzle and valve with its water pressure reducer. The frequency at which these
operations are to be effected must be increased during Winter.
Further information can be obtained from the Installation and Maintenance manual supplied by the
humidifier manufacturer.

The tubes or plates through which the water flows must be cleaned periodically in order to ensure
optimum efficiency of the condenser.
The frequency of the cleaning operation is determined by the quality and characteristics of the water
and hours of operation.
The operation can be chemical cleansing or, in the case of tube condensers, by using brushes to
clean the tubes internally.
It is also advisable to have the water analysed and to adopt an adequate water treatment system if
necessary, in order to avoid excessive coating, scale deposits, corrosion as well as formation of
fungus, algae, etc.

The finned surface of the condensing coil must be cleaned at least once a month during the period
that the system is in operation, in order to avoid accumulation of dirt or other matter.
The cleaning operation can be done manually using a specific comb / brush or using a strong jet of
cold water. It is advisable to also effect a chemical cleansing once a year to remove encrustations and
oily deposits. If too much dirt is allowed to deposit, the system will be forced to operate at a higher
pressure, reducing the cooling capacity of the indoor unit, and increasing, even to a dangerous level,
the condensing temperature.
High condensing pressure can provoke, as well as stopping the system, damage to the compressor.
The screws of the condenser fan should also be periodically tightened and the fan blades should be
checked for corrosion or cracks.
