10. Operating the model helicopter

a) Charging the flight battery
The LiPo flight battery (1) is charged using the supplied
plug-in charger (2). The charger is supplied with power
with a wall power supply.
The battery must always be removed from the model for
charging to prevent the heat generated during the charging
process from causing plastic parts of the helicopter to warp.
As soon as the charger is connected to a 230 V mains
socket via the wall power supply, the built-in LED of the
charger (4) lights up red.
Once the flight battery is connected to the reverse-polarity-
protected connector (3), the LED will flash red while
charging is in progress.
The charger is intended for 7.4 V 2-cell LiPo batteries
(included) or 11.1 V 3-cell LiPo batteries .
Never connect two batteries to the charger at the same
time!
When charging is complete, the LED lights up green.
After charging, the flight battery is reinserted into the
battery slot at the back of the model (ill 5b).
Caution!
During the charging process, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof surface or in a suitable pottery
container. Do not leave the battery unattended during the charging process and only connect it to the
provided charger. Do not use chargers designed for NiCd or NiMH rechargeable batteries to charge the
flight battery!
