b) Taking off the canopy
To take off the canopy (1) of the helicopter, pull the two
rubber grommets of the canopy (2) off the clamp sideways
and push the canopy towards the front.
Make sure not to force the canopy apart too much to
prevent damage to the surface.
Practical tip:
Apply a drop of oil to each of the two rubber grommets
(2). This makes detaching and reattaching the canopy
easier and extends the durability of the grommets.
c) Basic settings of the rotor head
Before you can start flying the helicopter, the settings of
the rotor head have to be checked and adjusted.
To prevent the electric motors from starting while you are
carrying out maintenance work or adjustments, simply
disconnect the cable connections leading to the main rotor
drive motor (1) and to the tail rotor drive motor (2).
Label the two plugs accordingly to ensure you will plug
them back in correctly.
Now switch on the transmitter and connect the flight battery
to the speed controller (3) of the helicopter.
The helicopter now responds to the control commands
provided the receiver and the transmitter have been
properly tuned.
