d) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries in the Transmitter
Open the transmitter's battery compartment and insert either batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries. Ob-
serve correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-), see label on the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment
again.
Observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
e) Taking the Transmitter into Operation
Switch on the transmitter and put the trimming for steering and driving functions into the centre positions. If the trans-
mitter has a dual rate function, deactivate it or set it to unlimited steering deflection.
Observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
f) Inserting the Drive Battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The drive battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 9. d) and e).
Important!
This vehicle is suitable only for use with a LiPo drive battery with 2 cells (nominal voltage of drive battery
7.4 V) or NiMH drive battery with 6 or 7 cells (nominal voltage 7.2 V or 8.4 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed control-
ler. Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Check that the rechargeable battery has a plug system matching the speed controller and that the polarity
is right (red cable = plus/+, black cable = minus/-).
Remove the two hook-and-loop tapes (A) of the battery
holder.
Then insert the drive battery into the battery holder (B).
If the rechargeable battery has a very short connection
cable, the rechargeable battery must be inserted into the
rechargeable battery holder so that the connection cable
points forwards.
Pull the hook-and-loop tapes (A) tight so that the drive bat-
tery is seated firmly, and close the hook-and-loop tape.
