Operation of the Model Helicopter
a) Removing the Canopy
To precisely inspect the mechanics and to later be able
to insert the flight battery, the cabin hood must be re-
moved.
For this, lift the canopy from the two holders (1) on the
right and left.
Carefully push the cabin hood off to the front and thread
out the front skid bracket (2) at the same time, which
serves as cabin hood holder as well.
Install the canopy in reverse order.
b) Checking the Drive Mechanics
Before commissioning your model helicopter, you need
to check the drive mechanics. Only if the mechanics
work securely, without play and absolutely smoothly can
be model fly with low energy expenditure. For this re-
ason, you should check the model function before each
flight.
For this, manually turn the main pinion (1) clockwise
(viewed from above) and check the interaction of the
main pinion (1) and the motor pinion (2). The gears must
securely fit into each other without catching or showing
too much friction.
When turning the main rotor clockwise manually, the
main pinion (1) and the motor pinion (2) must not move.
The tail rotor shaft pinion (3) must securely reach into
the drive gear (4) and drive the tail rotor smoothly.
